The minor who was raped by dacoits in Bulandshahr has demanded the arrest of SP leader Azam Khan for his insensitive comment regarding the incident. On 2 August, Azam Khan had alleged that a "political conspiracy" might be involved in the gang rape of the Noida-based mother and her teenage daughter near Bulandshahr.
